Unlike almost all Dad’s and many Mom’s, I get to eat lunch with my kids most days of the year.  Actually I usually eat all three meals with my family.  It may sound simple, but its a great benefit of homeschooling.  I am actually sitting down to write this post after enjoying a great lunch of sausage, egg and cheese filled biscuits fresh from the oven.  The kids loved them and we all ate together.

Some days I work from my home office making our family lunch time the obvious choice.  If I have to work away from the house, I am usually close enough to take a break and spend lunch time at home.

Our family uses the time to go over what the kids have been learning each morning. Occasionally the time is used for Dad to inform the kids that he backs up Mom’s decisions for them and expects to hear they did the right thing for the remainder of the day.
